Ryan and Jenn shared the most perfect wedding day with their closest friends and family. People came from all over the country to be at Ryan and Jenn’s brunch wedding-New York, Ohio, Tennessee, and others that I’m sure I’m missing! It’s no wonder their guests traveled so far; Ryan and Jenn share a love so sweet and romantic, it was hard not to tear up at their wedding. When we first heard about Ryan and Jenn’s engagement, we too were smitten with them! While Ryan and Jenn met here in Minnesota, Jenn had previously lived in New York City. Seeing as she wanted to show Ryan the city, they traveled there. Jenn brought Ryan to all the famous locations around New York, including her favorite part of Central Park. Now Ryan on the other hand had some plans up his sleeve as well. He hired some aspiring photography students off of craiglist to hide out in the park and photograph his proposal to Jenn! She had no idea, but now has the awesome memory of their engagement in pictures! Maybe it’s just because we’re photographers that we found this to be so sweet and romantic… I doubt it though. It seemed that everyone present at their wedding was equally as happy for Ryan and Jenn’s marriage to one another!
Ryan and Jenn were married at Summit Manor House, on what else, but the magnificent Summit Avenue in St. Paul. When we first met Ryan and Jenn we were so thrilled to be shooting a wedding on Summit Avenue, one of the most well-known streets of St. Paul with its grand Victorian homes and tree lined walkways.
Ryan and Jenn’s first look was so special! When the groom tears up at the sight of his bride, it’s hard to keep a clear focus in the camera of what’s going on through my own teary eyes! Super sweet.
Ryan and Jenn had a small bridal party with just her maid of honor and best friend, Michele, and his best man and best friend, Brett. Their niece, Mariya rounded out the bridal party. Having such a small bridal party creates such a close-knit feel to the wedding day and was absolutely perfect for Ryan and Jenn.
This is Jenn’s niece Mariya. She was so much fun and gave the most amazingly sweet speech later on this day for someone her age!
To end this post, here’s a shot of one of the photos from Ryan and Jenn’s engagement. They had pictures frames of them growing up, together, etc. all throughout the house. They even set up a scavenger hunt for their guests to look for certain things around the house. Such a cute idea.
There’s much more to come with Ryan and Jenn’s wedding. Stay tuned to the blog for part 2 of Ryan and Jenn’s wedding!
